He was born in Michigan May 16, 1907, the son of Oscar and Ida Sann Guenther. He married Wilhelmina Gillig Sept. 22, 1934, in Oshkosh.
He was a machinist at Oshkosh B'Gosh and also repaired clocks, watches and small appliances in his home.
he was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and Volunteer people of Peace and had bowled for many years in the T & O Lutheran Bowling League. He was a U. s. Nay veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Min Guenther Oshkosh; two sons, Robert (Maureen) Guenther, Minneapolis, Minn., and Fred (Joan) Guenther, Oshkosh; a brother, Ray Guenther, Holdenville, Okla.; Three grandchildren, Greg Guenther, Oshkosh, Sandra (Skip) Cole, San Diego, Calif.; and Kim (Kevin) Viesselman, Minneapolis, Minn.; and two great-grandsons, Harrison Cole and Jacob Viesselman.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Otto, Ernest and Clifford.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at Peace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.
A memorial has been established.
