DAWES, James age 83 of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Miami Valley Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Naomi, Kentucky on October 8, 1926 the son of Elbert Pinkney & Dakota (Gadberry) Dawes. He is survived by his son, two sisters Katherine (Jurl) Cunnagin of Somerset, Kentucky and Reba Lynn of Harlan, Kentucky, and he leaves behind many caring and loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Freda Dawes, his second wife Ramona Dawes, two brothers Huey and Willie Dawes, and four sisters Virginia Lewis, Bertha Dalton, Bonnie Dawes and Onnie Dawes. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com
