Retired school janitor Fred Alexander died at home Monday, Sept. 6, 1999. He was 71.
A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Park Hill Cemetery. The casket will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Alexander was born April 5, 1928, in Renton, Mich., and lived 20 years in Clark County.
He was a cook in the Army.
His wife, Sue, died in 1990.
Survivors include one son, Robert McQuaid of Shepherd, Mich.; four brothers, Joe of Marquette, Mich., John of Big Bay, Mich., and Harry and Clarence, both of Milwaukee; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and special companion Betty Carr of Vancouver.
