Mrs. Jane kleis, 78, died this morning at 1 o'clock at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kleis, 135 West Sixteenth street, following an illness of six months. [note; it was at the home of her son and daughter-in-law]
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: William Kleis of Martin, Mrs. Bert Slagh of North Holland, Henry Kleis of Zeeland, Benjamin Kleis, Dan Kleis, Prof. Clarence Kleis and Isaac Kleis all of Holland. A sister, Mrs. M. VanderVliet of Holland, and several grandchildren also survive.
Rev. Paul VanEerden will officiate at services to be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kleis and at 2 o'clock at Seventh Reformed church. Burial will be in Holland township cemetery.
Mrs. Kleis was a member of Seventh Reformed church. Her husband died about five years ago.
