William Vance Moyer was the son of the late John L. and Effie Vance Moyer. He was a former town Mayor for Bloomsburg and active in business, civic and religion for more than a half a century.
He was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church, where he taught and was the superintendent and teacher for sunday school. He as a life elder of the church.
He was a veteran of WW I and served as a staff sergent in the medical corps.
He was a graduate, class of 1913, of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy with a degree of Doctor of Pharmacy.
He worked for the family firm of Moyer Brother's Pharmacy.
He was a very talented man with many other accomplishments with volunteer services, organizations and the community.
