Trona, CA native Lew Aasgard joined his daughter, Kayla, in heaven on Friday, 12 Mar 2010. Lew passed away of a heart attack in Ensenada, Mexico.
Lew was born 8 Jan 1955. He grew up in Trona and graduated from Trona High School. He worked in construction, and began his own construction business in Trona.
After retirement, he moved to St. Maries, ID where he resided until his passing.
Lew loved his family, friends, and welcomed new friends daily. He had a passion to help his communities, volunteering his time to make St. Maries and Trona better places to live for his family and friends. Lew was a 34-year member of the Elks, Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) and numerous other civic organizations.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer, elk, bear, camping, boating, and especially golf. He had a passion for riding his Harley motorcycles, flying airplanes and friendships.
Lew is survived by his wife, Gretchen; daughter Hope Aasgard; step-daughter Aspen Presley; sisters Anita Aasgard; Phyllis and her husband Frank Iannetta; previous wife, Sandy; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Kayla; father Alvin; and mother Patricia Pounds.
