Coco was our family pet from the time we adopted him in the early to mid 1980s to February 1993, when it was decided the best thing was to re-home him once again. I was just under 13.

I remember he didn't like our cat Thunder, and he tended to favor women. My dad nicknamed him Smoker. He shared our lives for about ten years.

In the nearly 30 years that have passed since I last saw "Smoker," I questioned many times the family decision to re-home such an old dog, for the second time in his life. I have always wondered how he did from that point on. Given the math, Coco likely died in the 1990s, or possibly the early 2000s. What's done is done. I pray he was loved at the end of his life.

This may upset the Ruling Elites of Findagrave, but I will go ahead and consider this a memorial for all my childhood family pets, so I have a place I can go to remember them. There were many small animals, but I will stick to dogs and cats.

Dogs: Sugar, Jake, and Jessica
Cats: Thunder and Pepper

Rest in peace. ♱
