The Missouri Telegraph:ACCIDENT CAUSED DEATH OF A CHILD;** Son Of Mr. and Mrs. Uel Lamkin Of Maryville, Missouri Died Monday:** Clem Dickinson Lamkin, 4 year old son of Dr. Uel W. Lamkin, president of the Northwest Missouri State Teachers College at Maryville and Mrs. Lamkin, died Monday night as a result of an injury which he received when a toy horn with which he was playing penetrated his soft palate resulting in a hemorrhage.** Funeral services were held at Clinton, Missouri Wednesday morning at 10:00 o'clock.** The death was the second tragedy to visit the Lamkin home within the last four years. Billy Lamkin, their first child, died in 1926 at the age of sixteen. His death was also caused by a hemorrhage. The child who died Monday was named for Mrs. Lamkins father, former Congressman C.C. Dickson of Clinton. His father is a nephew of Dr. Walter Williams, president of the University of Missouri. Dr. Uel Lamkin delivered the commencement address at Westminster College here in June.
