She was a native of Bingham Lake, Minnesota and lived for five years in Ellijay, Georgia where she died from heart failure at the Winston Memorial Health Care Center. She had lived in Loma Linda for 30 years, was a Seventh-day Adventist medical missionary for 40 years and a member of the Campus Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church in Loma Linda. She was survived by her two sons, Dr. W.D. of Ellijay and Dr. E. L. of La Habra Heights, a brother, Dr. John Ewert of Camino, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was the daughter of Henry Ewert and Anna Balzer and was married to a C. C. Schneider. She was a nurse and died from pneumonia. She was born September 24, 1895 in Minnesota.
