Services for Jewel Crawford, 87, of Pollok, will be held at 2;30 p.m. Friday at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Lee Westbrook and the Rev. R.G. "Bud" Davis officiating. Graveside services will be conducted under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669 AF & AM. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
Mr. Crawford was born May 2, 1905 in Cherokee County and died today in a Wells nursing home. He was a member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669 AF & AM and of the Wells Chapter of the Eastern Star. Mr. Crawford was a 32 degree mason of the Scottish Rite Houston Body.
Survivors: wife of 65 years, Thelma Crawford of Pollok; sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Billie Crawford and J.C. and Mary Crawford, both of Pollok. ; daughter and son-in law, Alpha Dean and Skippy O'Balle of Pollok; brother Perley Crawford of Lufkin; sisters-in-law, Brit Crawford and Kate Does; nine grandchildren, Linda and Bob Westbrook, Riley D. and Jan O'Quinn, Ben and Liz O'Quinn, Tommy and Jeri Crawford, Kevin and Susan Crawford, David and Rae Crawford, Steve and Beth Crawford, Pam and Daniel Fenley, Gil and Trudy O'Balle; 18 great grand children, Kellie, Jana, Joe Ben, Trish, Brandi, Cody, Kim, Jennifer, Cade, Kayle, Trent, Casey, Tyler, Haley, Tyrell, Shana, Cole, and Mandy; a number of nieces and nephews.
