Mr. Lonnie Earl Parlor, age 55, went from life to eternity on July 19, 2006 from Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Parlor, originally from the Four Mile Branch community at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, was an impersonator and entertainer. The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Parlor will be Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at High Noon at the Four Mile Branch Baptist Church in Fort Gibson, OK. Interment for Mr. Parlor will follow at 2 P.M. at The National Cemetery in Fort Gibson. Friends may visit Mr. Parlor as he peacefully rests at the Chapel of Remembrance in Muskogee on Monday, July 31 from 12 to 7 P.M. In the early fall of 1950, the union of Denver and Maxine [Sallis] Parlor produced the first born of four children in the family. Arriving on September 12th of that year, he was named Lonnie Earl Parlor. Lonnie grew up in the Four Mile Branch Community udner the guidance of a special Uncle and Auntie, Jake and Bertha Sallis. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the Reverend James Loney. Lonnie earned his education and graduated from Fort Gibson High School and immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served his country honorably. Lonnie's career encompassed virtually every aspect of the entertainment field. His career began at the early age of 13 and transformed him into a well rounded, international stage personality. He has covered the venues of stage, screen, television and major production tours. Lonnie believed that there was always another goal to attain. Coupled with his genuine love for performing is the magic that propelled him to the level of popularity that he enjoyed from his world wide audiences and also earned him the respect from his peers within the industry. Lonnie enjoyed success in all of his endeavors. Lonnie Earl Parlor, Sr., in his 55th year, made his final curtain call, and exited earth for eternity on July 18, 2006 from Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother and other relatives. His beautiful memory will be cherished by his loving family; his children, David Keyes, Londa Parlor, Lonnie Parlor, Jr. [Chizette], and Jonas Parlor; an adopted daughter, Kera Parlor; his grandchildren, Elisa, Crystal, Jahvari, Davonne, Candace, Cameron, David, Jr., and Destiny; his father, Denver Parlor, Sr., Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Sharon Parlor, Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, Denver Parlor, Jr., Kansas City, Missouri; his aunts, Sue Mae Hughes, Willie Mae Harlin, Jane Harlin and Nita Joe Johnson; his uncles, Lawrence [Rosetta] Frank, Lewis Harlin, Big Lonnie and Elmer Charles Sallis; two great-aunts, Sarah Johnson and Essie Riddle; special cousins, Wanda Peterson and Norma Jean Riddle-Jefferson; nieces, Tamika Parlor and Peppi Parlor; a very special niece, Sonia "Nicole" [Carlos] Hill; very special nephewm Patrick N. Parlor, Sr.; great niece and nephew, John Francis, Jr., and Car'eyana HIll; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends, worldwide, who will miss Lonnie dearly.
