Born in a small country farmhouse, Bill was raised by his father, Francis Patrick Coyle. Together, Bill and his father worked their farm, tended to chores and Bill completed his high school education at Miltonvale High School in Miltonvale, KS. Bill moved to Salina, accepting a job for the KDOT. With his humor, easygoing style and farm work ethics, Bill over the span of more than 40 years, through work hard, grit and perseverance finally proved his worth by being named "Supervisor" for the Saline County District", retiring in 1995. Along the way, he met and married, Dorothy J Giacoletto, and inherited 4 stepchildren he would go on to raise as his own.. Love as his own - Sue, Ree and Barb. Undaunted, Bill rose to every challenge, situation and heart ach thrown at him. Through his kind gentle heart, his unending patience and more importantly, his forgiveness towards all. Willing to give to his community, his unending and devoted faith of being born and raised Catholic, as evidenced as he attained a "Fourth Degree Knight" status at the Knights of Columbus, here in Salina. He was a simple man, never asking for much or even anything. God wanted a simple man that day.... and got one. We all LOVE and MISS you Bill! (Sue KNOWS and FEELS you come around her.)
