funeral services were held at one o'clock last saturday for cornelius vanderbilt woodruff,of langlois,who passed away at the knife hospital here last thursday afternoon. he had been ill for several months and an inmate at the hospital for some time.
he was nearly 62 yrs.of age,having been born at gold beach feb.14,1871.
funeral services were conducted at the chapel by rev.p.d.hartman,and interment was in the masonic cemetery,besides the remains of his wife.
he is survived by a brother,chauncey woodruff,of langlois,and a sister mrs. carrie carr,of los angeles. the deceased was a brother-in-law of a.n.gould,mrs.jas.richmond,and c.a.gould of coquille.
