Andrew Jackson Baker, known as Andy, is the eldest child of James Hayes Baker and Biddia (nee) McKeehan, and the 1st of ten siblings born to this couple; six surviving thru childhood.

Andy's first marriage in 1904, was to Laura Mitchell; they were blessed with (4) daughters, Maude, Opal, Cleo and Evelyn. The marriage ended thru divorce, and sometime after 1920 Andrew married once more to Elizabeth (?nee) nickname Lizzie. No children born to this 2nd union.

In 1917, at age 29, Andy is described as a tall man of stout build, with Blue eyes and brown hair. He was a coal miner, employed by the North Jellico Coal Company; by 1920 he was an Electrician.

Andy died in 1936 in his 51st year, survived by his widow Lizzie another 24 years. They are interred by the side of one another in Old Corinth Cemetery in Corbin, Whitley county, Kentucky.

A Baker family descendent advises that after the death of her husband, Lizzie's source of income came from operating a boarding house.
