Junior was born April 30, 1922, in Shreveport, La., to Harvey and Ludy Maddox. He was a butcher and a career carpenter. Junior left his mark on many K-Mart stores in Texas and Oklahoma including the store in Durant and also on high rises in Dallas, Texas. Early in his carpentry career, he was considered to be the #1 cabinet maker of Ft. Smith, Ark.
He leaves his mark in the hearts of all his family. He was never known to ask for help himself but what he could do for you. He cared for his wife Mary Lee during her extended illness. Junior was a loving father and grandfather with unconditional love. His number one activity was fishing at the ocean.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Mary Lee (Paris) Maddox; first wife Mary Bell Maddox; one daughter Carolyn; parents; one brother; two sisters; and two grandchildren.
Junior is survived by sons Larry Paris of Kenefic, and Allen Paris of Mead; daughters Ellerea Poeck of Murphy, Texas, Marolyn Stanley of Folsom, and Brenda Richards of Dallas; one sister Frances Emmet of Gun Barrell City, Texas; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
