---Henry G. Allen, 78, passed away at 7:05 this morning at Oaklawn hospital, where he had been since Wednesday. He had been in ill health for the past year.
---Mr. Allen was born January 10, 1866, in Eckford township, the son of the late William and Cordelia Allen. He lived in the same neighborhood in Eckford township all of his life except for three years spent on a farm near Albion. He was married on July 30, 1895, to Myrtie Hadley of Albion, who passed away in 1941.
---Surviving are four sons, Delbert and Lorenzo Allen, of Marshall, Fred Allen of Sturgis and Dale Allen of Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Gardinier and Miss Virginia Allen, both of Marshall; one sister, Mrs. George Vincent of Homer; nine grandchildren and one nephew.
---Funeral services will be held at the Kesler funeral home on Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with the Rev. Joseph Kimbel of the West Eckford church officiating. Burial will be in the West Eckford cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
