Funeral services for Catherine Louise Abston, 58, of Quitman, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. David Dearman officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.
After the funeral services, interment will follow at Grace Williams Cemetery in Fruitdale, Ala.
Born on Saturday, Feb. 2, 1952, she was a native of Yellow Pine, Ala. A homemaker, she died on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Thomas McMichael of Laurel and Christopher Guy McMichael of Needham, Ala.; a daughter, Katrina Haddock of Waynesboro; a brother, Calvin Smith of Waynesboro; two sisters, Cora Skelton of Grand Bay, Ala., and Carol Dunn of Yellow Pine, Ala.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eloise Smith; her father, Guy Smith; two brothers, Harry Smith and Carlton Smith; and a sister, Eloise Henderson.
Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of arrangements.
