Coletta Marshall

NIAGARA, Wis. Coletta T. Marshall, 75, of 805 Vine St. #18, Niagara, died Thursday morning, May 31, 2001, at Florence Villa Nursing Home in Florence, Wis.

She was born Nov. 26, 1925 in Chicago, daughter of the late Charles and Angela (Rash) Freudinger. Coletta married Garland Marshall on July 6, 1946 in Chicago. She owned and operated the Golden Brown Bakery in Iron Mountain from 1962 till 1976 when she retired and closed the bakery.

Mrs. Marshall enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting, and playing bingo.

Coletta had a great fondness for dogs and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons, Gregory (Betty) Marshall of Colorado, Robert (Barb) Marshall of Kingsford, Francis (Sarah) Marshall of Kingsford and Timothy (Sandy) Marshall of Niagara; two daughters, Susie (Fred) Nowack of Faithorn and Tina (Kevin Sr.) VanGinkel of Niagara; four brothers, Ray (Marion) Freudinger of Mesa, Ariz., Ronald Freudinger of Norway, Paul Freudinger of Joliet, Ill. and John Freudinger of Plainfield, Ill.; three sisters, Angi (Bill) Burke of Lansing, Gini (Bob) Bretall of Mesa, Ariz. and Marie Freudinger of Mesa, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, Tracy Marshall of Green Bay, Wis., Coletta Reimer of Norway, Megan Marshall of Kingsford, Molly Marshall of Kingsford, Rachelle Marshall of Fort Worth, Texas, Ryan Marshall of Niagara, Neil Marshall of Niagara, Jessica Nowack of Atlanta, Joshua Nowack of Appleton, Wis., Kevin VanGinkel Jr. of Niagara, Becky VanGinkel of Niagara and Cody VanGinkel of Niagara; and two great-grandchildren, Deseree and Skie Reimer.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garland, in July 1976; a son, Alvin Marshall in April 1990; two brothers, Francis Freudinger and Charles Freudinger; and a sister, Margaret Gibson.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara. A memorial Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at the church. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate.

Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.

The family is being served by Jacobs Funeral Home of Niagara.
