ANDERSON — Former Frankton resident Charlie S. Salmon, 82, of Anderson, died March 20, 2010, at Manor Care Nursing Facility in Anderson.

Charlie was born May 3, 1927, in Breckenridge County, Ky., the son of Lee Salmon and Rena (Smith) Salmon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. Charlie married Doris K. (Hendrick) Salmon in 1952 and she passed away on June 30, 2009. He retired from Fisher Body of Marion, and was a member of the Frankton Masonic Lodge.

The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Care and Heartland Hospice for the excellent care given to their dad.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one granddaughter, Christina Witcher; and a great-great-granddaughter, Josalynn Cross.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Morris Springs Cemetery in Edmonton, Ky.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home, 305 Sigler St., Frankton. Masonic memorial services will be at 7 p.m.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
