Mr. Cox was for many years a member of the local Pythian lodge and the Volunteer Fire Department. He was a painter, paper hanger and plasterer.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Cox, and one brother, J. Wilmore Cox.
Funeral services were held today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, conducted by Father James H. McConnell. The remains were placed in a vault and burial will take place at a later date.
Active pallbearers were members of the Fire Department and the Pythian Lodge.
