"J.L." retired from Scott Paper Company where he worked as a chemist. He was a deacon in Toulminville Baptist Church and then in Woodmont Baptist church. He was active in church activities and sang in the church choir for many years.
He was much loved by his family and respected by his friends as a Christian Gentleman. He was a big man with a heart and smile to match. His presence brought laughter and joy into the lives of all who knew him.
He rests now with his youngest son Tommy and in the presence of his Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.
