Sharon L. Arendt longtime resident of Ingleside Visitation for Sharon Arendt, (nee Kelgard), 69, will be from 5 to 9 p.m., including an 8 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, March 23, at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road (one block west of Route 12, ½ block north of Grand Ave.), Fox Lake, with the Rev. Lisle Kauffman officiating. Born Dec. 17, 1940, in Chicago, to Robert and Marion (nee Anderson) Kelgard, she passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Sharon loved garage sales and was an avid antique enthusiast. She also adored her two Pekignese dogs, Layla and Cassidy. She loved her family and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Debra (Mark) Mollé of North Aurora; a brother, Jim (Sheryl) Kelgard of Arizona; and her beloved grandchildren, Arianna, Caroline and Clarissa Beck. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey M. Arendt; and former spouse, Henry E. Arendt. Memorials in Sharon's name to Animal Education and Rescue-AEAR, P.O. Box 7343.
