Lawrence Neeley
Lawrence J. Neeley, 77, Oblong died today at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind. He was born April 11, 1910 in Jasper County, a son of Ellsworth and Matilda Hoover, Neeley. He married Sara Bailiff in 1928 and she preceded him in death in February, 1987. Surviving are two sons, Charlie and John Neeley, Oblong: two daughters, Dorothy Sheridan, Willow Hill and Betty Ochs, Ste. Marie; a sister, Edith Bailey, Hammond, Ind.; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, his wife and parents. The funeral is 1 p.m. Sunday at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong with Harold Jackman officiating. Interment is in Berlin Cemetery, south of Oblong. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.
