Thomas Hughes' wife Mary is very certainly NOT the daughter of Robert and Susannah (Packer) Baker of Chester County. According to Quaker meeting records, Robert died in 1716, and that Mary married Samuel Crockson in 1733. This Mary was born in 1726. It is not even certain that this Mary was from Pennsylvania. Given that Thomas was from Virginia, and they married in Virginia, it is highly probable that Mary was born in Virginia, as well.
