Aug, 1952. Sidney Black, 84, died early this afternoon at General Hospital after a seven-day illness. He was born in Watford, Canada, March 15, 1868, and had lived in Bay City for 71 years. He was a retired brick mason. Surviving are a son Clarence, of Bay City; two grandchildren, Nancy Lee and Donald; a brother Fred, of Mackinaw City; two sisters, Mrs. Jane T. Harris and Miss Clara Black, both of Bay City; and several nieces and nephews. He married Lillian Ogden in 1913. She died in 1926. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Vallender and Penzien funeral chapel. The Rev. Dr. Frederick Robles will officiate and burial will be in Green Ridge cemetery, Section D, Lot 904.
