Rudock Wilford Ash, 70, 405 Chestnut Street, Quapaw, died at 1:57 p.m. Friday at the Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami, after a short illness.
Mr. Ash was born Oct. 4, 1924, at Tulsa. He lived in Quapaw for the past 10 years, moving there from Zena. He was a retired self-employed painter. He worked for the John Harrilson Construction Co. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge and belonged to the Miami area painters union.
Survivors include a son, Frankie Ash, Tuscaloosa, Ala; a sister, Emma Dentis, Tulsa; several grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Arrangement are pending with Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Picher.

QUAPAW, Okla. – Services for Rudock Wilford Ash, 70, Quapaw, who died Friday will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Picher.
The Rev. Leslie Couch, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Ottawa Indian Cemetery southeast of Miami.
Pallbearers will be Carl Brashar, Richie Gerring, Jerry Davis, Jimmy Huffman, John Stand and Rex Gammill.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
