Charlotte (Williams) was married to Absalom Barnish (b: 8/12/1824) on July 4, 1845 in East Parish, Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland.
Charlotte and Absalom had at least four children: Ann b: 1847 Burslem, Staffordshire, England- Charlotte (b: abt. 1850 in Burslem, Staffordshire, England), Sarah b: 1857 Tunstall, Staffordshire, England ,and Mary Ann (b: 1859 Wolstanton, Staffordshire, England).
On the 1871 England census Charlotte is listed as MARRIED and also Head of Household. Absalom is not there.
On the 1881 England census, at age 56 Charlotte was living with her daughter Charlotte and her husband John Harrat.
From 1861 on Charlotte shows she is married on all censuses thru 1881, but nowhere on the census is her husband Absalom Barnish after 1851.
UPDATE:
Research has determined that Absalom was living at:
4 Greenside Street, Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland.
Absalom was living in a boarding house (280 miles from home) with four other earthenware workers. Absalom was a sager-maker of earthenware. Apparently, Absalom was working and living in Scotland in the 1860's, 1870's, and possibily the 1880's until his death.
