Norah Bridget Kennerk died at 11 am Thursday at Sacred Heart Home, Angola, Indiana. She formerly lived at 6521 South Bend Drive. She was the widow of Harry F. Kennerk, local attorney, who died Jan. 19, 1940.

Mrs. Kennerk was the daughter of Patrick and Hannah Devine Wickens. She was born in Jennings County and attended its local schools, graduating from North Vernon High School. After teaching in one room country schools, she attended and graduated from Indiana State Normal School at Terre Haute. She taught in Terre Haute and then moved to Fort Wayne to teach in 1900. She married Harry F. Kennerk in 1904.

She is survived by seven children, a son David having died at age 13. Living sons are: Gregory T., wife Helen Leich. Marion, In.; H. Hugh, wife Helen Rowley, Ft. Wayne; Owen J., wife Donelda Boff, Edgerton, Oh.; Rev. T. Daniel, a Holy Cross missionary in East Pakistan; Perry A.. wife Dorothy Edel. Miami Fl. Daughters: Mary Helen, husband Charles Kelsey, Monterey, In., and Gloria J., husband John H. Lamper, Anderson, In.

Also surviving, Miss Pearl Wickens who until recently had shared her home, and a brother Hugh D. Wickens of Greensburg. Thirty three grandchildren also survive.

A charter member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. Mrs. Kennerk had been active in many civic organizations. The Catholic Literature Society, Democrat Woman's Club, Central Catholic High School Mothers Club, visiting Nurse League, Parent Teachers and American Red Cross.

Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday in Mungovan and Sons Mortuary and at 11 am in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Joseph R. Crowley will concelebrate with a large number of local clergymen. Burial will be in the cemetery at St. Aloysius church, Yoder, Indiana. Friends may call at the mortuary, rosary services will be at 8:15 pm Wednesday. Preferred memorial gifts to St. Joseph's Catholic School fund will be appreciated.
