James Washington Felts, "Jim", son of James Rudolph Felts and Nancy Elizabeth Conner, was born 6 August 1872. He married 14 January 1904 Stella Mason, born 14 November 1879, daughter of Andrew Dorriah Mason and Martha Jane Norman. "Jim" died 28 May 1956 and Stella died 7 December 1960.

"Jim" was a cotton farmer, carpenter, made concrete well curbs, had a country store, and made the best ribbon cane syrup for all the neighbors in the fall. They lived in Heflin, LA., and are buried in Bistineau Cemetery.

They had 6 children:
