He was the son of Thomas H. Kestner (Nov. 17, 1876 - Mar. 22, 1961) and Lillie M. Kestner (May 27, 1882 - Feb. 9, 1948) both buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kingsport (Sullivan County), TN. He was known throughout his hometown for living his Christian values and his sense of humor. He always had a joke for everyone. He ALWAYS wore a smile and loved to make people happy as he played Santa Claus for the locals for many, many years.
