Jimmie is my ex-brother-in-law. He was diagnosed with lung cancer approximately four years ago.

It was his wish that his son and daughter, Jason and Sherri, officiate at his services. I was very proud of my niece and nephew. They showed tremendous strength and presented a beautiful tribute to their Dad.

Funeral services for Jimmie Dale Gregg, 68 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma are scheduled for Friday, March 26th, at 2:00 PM in Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel. He was born September 5, 1941 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Hollis and Mae Gregg and died March 19, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was raised in Wewoka and graduated from Wewoka High School in 1959. He was a US Army veteran during the Vietnam War and a life member of DAV Chapter 39 in Midwest City. He graduated from OSU in 1972 with an Associate Degree in Radiation and Nuclear Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology. Jimmie retired from Tinker Air Force Base and after reitiring in his leisure time his passions were building and flying RC airplanes, seeking out great deals, garage sales, making and fixing things.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Jason and Marsha Gregg, daughter and son-in-law Sherri and William Hollander, grandchildren Connor, Carsen, Ronin, and Edan, his dear friend Marilyn Gregg of OKC: sisters Edna Knight of Shawano, WI, Mary Davis of Oklahoma City, and Sharon Admire of Nacona, TX. Preceding him in death are his twin brother Willie, brothers Richard, Donald, Howard, Wayne, and Cecil.

The Family request in Lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be given to a favorite charity.

May you have
Walls for the wind
And a roof for the rain,
And drinks beside the fire
Laghter to cheer you
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire

A special thank you to a special person, Linda Cain-Steele, for sponsoring Jimmie's memorial.
