Sarah Jo worked for 30 years in the nursing profession and attended the Assembly of God church in Wynnewood. She loved her church, sewing, cooking, mowing and her flower beds. She never wanted to be anywhere but there on her creek, where she could watch the wildlife come up to eat. She loved to feed and watch the red birds out her window.
Sarah Jo had received citation's for her volunteer work from the Oklahoma Department of Human Service, State Representative Danny Hilliard and Senator Johhnny Crutchfied.
Her sister Janell was part of her, she had stated her brother in law, Bill Jones was her best friend.
Sarah was preceded in death by her beloved husband W.L. Jones,. father O.M. ‘Earl' Cotterell,
Mother Katie Bell Baker Cottrell, Brother Evertte Earl Cottrell. Grandparents Vera & Dolph Cottrell. Son in law Jerry Lawson.
Sarah is survived by her sister Lola Janell Douglas, Lanora Sue Montgomery of Wynnewood.
Glenda Ward of Santee,CA and Edgar Carl Cottrell of Eufla.
Four children Joyce Earline Lawson of Doughtery, Bobby Leon Jones, Velvet Dyann Pyka and Christal Luann & K.W. Murphy all of Wynnewood.
Nine grandchildren Amy Dawn Lawson Cox of Lone Grove, Robin Matthew Lawson of Sulphur,
Amanda Dyann Rushing Parker of Davis, Erin Beth Jones Baxter & Buddy Rushing both of Wynnewood, Melissa Lu Jones of Pauls Valley, Bobby Leigh Jones Vowell of Texas, Skylar Luke Murphy and John Michel Jones both of Wynnewood.
12 great grandchildren Afton Cox, Dylan Roady, Derek Earl Cox, Courtney Cox all of Lone Grove. Justin Matthew Lawson, Brendan Lawson, Katie Parker, Trevor Paker, Ethan Rushing, Shawnna Jones, Madison Vowell & Lillian Vowell.
Services 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 16th at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Officiating her service was Tim & Alice McGugh.
