Second of five sons of Thomas B. Doherty Sr. and Katherine Burke Doherty of Wallace Twp. Was longtime mgr. of Wallace Grain & Supply Co. Married Rita Bonges Doherty in 1931. They had five sons and a daughter. His wife died in July, l987. Both are buried in Ottawa Ave. Cemetery, Ottawa, Illinois USA. He is survied by sons: Richard, Lawrence, Robert, Charles, Mark, and daughter Patricia Doherty Resutko and brother Leo F. Doherty of RFD Utica. Mr. Paul Doherty was a long time supporter of Marquette High School and named the sports teams " Crusaders." He was proud of the fact that he had served the City of Ottawa 12 years as an elected city commissioner in the l940s and l950s.
