Charles A. Love, 70, formerly of Marion died May 10 in Waco, Texas. Services were held May 13 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, with a graveside service May 16 at Mapleview Cemetery in Marion. Gilbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Love was born in Crittenden County and worked for Frank Conger Service Station at the corner of Main and Bellville Streets in the late 1940s. Following service in Korea with the U.S. Army, Love was associated with Winn's Stores in San Antonio for 29 years. He and his wife managed the Lake Air Apartments in Waco from 1983-1998.


He was a member of The Sons of the American Revolution and The Waco Gem and Mineral Club, where he served on its board of trustees. He was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at Deer Creek Church near Sheridan.


Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Bonnell York Love of Waco; a daughter, Kristine Casey of Lorena, Texas; a grandson and several cousins in Salem, Sheridan and Providence.
