She became a dressmaker, and carried on her business in Claremont during her life. She possessed a sympathetic nature, was a life-long member of the Congregational Church and an ardent Christian worker.
She was full of the missionary spirit, and benevolent in some directions to a fault. Her life was filled up with kind words and friendly acts.
She died unmarried, Oct 3, 1889, leaving a good name long to be remembered by those who knew her.
