Andrew O. Hash, son of Mr and Mrs Thomas B. Hash was born at Wyethville, VA., December 3, 1855 and passed away at his home in Fredonia, Kansas, March 19, 1929 at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 16 days.
At the age of 12, he moved with his parents to Gridley, ILL., where he grew to manhood. He was married December 29, 1881 to Naoma Kathren Lock, and they moved to the Kennedy farm, northeast of Fredonia, later settling in Republic county where they lived nine years, then returned to Fredonia in 1901, locating on the Nelson Fox farm, southeast of town, and nine years ago moved to town where they were living at the time of his death.
Mr Hash was a member of the Masonic Lodge, joining at the age of 21. Twenty years ago he was baptized into Christ and as long as his health permitted, he was an active worker in the Men's Progressive Bible Class of the Christian church, of which he was a member.
Mr Hash is survived by his wife and his children: Effa M. Cooper, Carmel, Calif.; Naoma C. Gatten, Okmulgee, Okla.; Grace R. McDonough, Fredonia; Thomas J. Hash, Benedict; Wiley F. Hash, Totonto and Frank A. Hash, Seminole, Okla.; 8 grandchildren, one brother, John Hash of Blanco, N.M.; other relatives and many friends who mourn his death.
Funeral Services, conducted by Rev. C. o. Wilson were held at the Christian Church, Thursday afternoon, March 21, and burial was made in Fredonia Cemetery.
