WILLIAM EARL JAMES: Glennwood, passed away 7 Feb 1954 at the age of 58. He was born 1 Sep 1895 in Rapid City SD. He had been a resident of this community for the past 31yrs. He was owner & manager of the James Service Station & Motor Court in Glenwood. He was a veteran of WW1, a member of the Methodist Church in Springfield & Eugene Lodge-11 AF&AM, the Scottish Rite, Amaranth & Glenwood Business Men's Club. He was married to AnnaF Vogel in Coburg OR on 29 Aug 1934.
Besides his wife he is survived by his parents Mr&Mrs WilliamF James-Coburg; a brother: Archie James-John Day; 8 sisters: MrsJohn Flood-Walton; MrsAbe Coskey-Oakridge; MrsWalter Kuck-Yaquina; MrsFrank Storment-Eugene; MrsKenneth Carlile-Cottage Grove; MrsJess Schroll-OregonCity; MrsEarl Watson-Madras & MrsHarold Vaughn-Walton.
Funeral service will be held at Bartholomew-Buell Chapel on Tuesday, 9 Feb 1954, with RevEllsworth Tilton officiating with interment in Rest-Haven Memorial Park, under the direction of Eugene Lodge-11 AF&AM. The family requests omission of flowers; in lieu thereof, donations may be made to the Heart Fund.
