She was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Madison County, the daughter of Pearl and Lilly (Huffman) Hill. She graduated from Lapel High School in 1936, and lived most of her life in Anderson.
She was a past member of 1st Presbyterian Church and attended St. Matthew United Methodist Church.
As a past member of Edgewood Country Club, she enjoyed golfing and bridge. She traveled extensively, wintering in Fort Myers with her husband. She enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening. She was a nature lover, especially of birds.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Busby, on Sept. 14, 1991; her parents; sister, Mildred Olvey; and stepgrandson, Jimmy Brooks.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, with the Rev. Garri George officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
