Philip H. Lounsberry, 87, of Woodburn, died Sunday, March 4. He was born Nov 27, 1902 in St. Paul, Minn., and lived in Pasadena, Calif., and Medford before moving to Canby 22 years ago. He came to Woodburn earlier this year. He was a member of the Holiday Park Church of God in Portland, and was a past president of the Canby Kiwanis. He was a personnel manager for the U.S. government civil service. He married Alice V. Zehner on Sept 14,, 1930, in Grants Pass. His grandfather Col. Clement A. Lounsberry was the youngest colonel who served during the Civil War and was founder of the Bismarck Tribune in Bismarck, N.D. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Ann Rampke of Molalla; brother, George of Woodburn; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cornwell Colonial Chapel. Interment will be in Belle Passi Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cornwell Colonial Chapel. Contributions may be made to the Holiday Park Church of God Memorial
fund.
