Sis. Mary Lou Moore was born September 23, 1921 in Lisbon, LA., the second oldest child of Mack Williams Sr. and Ida Mae Seal Williamns.
Mary joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age, and remained a faithful member until her health failed and she moved to El Dorado Ark.
On January 19, 1943, on a cold winter evening, in Farmerville, LA, Mary Lou Williams took the hand of John Wesley Moore, Jr. in marriage. Their marriage lasted for 32 years, until John's untimely passing on April 11, 1976.
She is also preceeded in death by her parents: Mack and Ida Williams, her sisters: Bessie Mosley, L.V. Smith, Vera Pam, and her brothers: Charles Williams, Mack Williams, Jr., and Chester Williams.
She departed this life on Friday, August 17, 2007 at Golden Living Center in El Dorado, Ark.
She leaves her cherished and precious memories to her adopted daughter: Shirley Newton (James). Also one brother, James Williams (Melissa), one sister, Hazel Heard (Charles Lee) will miss her presence. She leaves a very special niece, Barbara Benjamin, four grandsons, Albert, Jermaine, JerVonte, and James Clemons, Jr., one grandaughter: Aryah Williams. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
