Nancy Rogers Cox, age 64, passed away quietly in her home Saturday, November 18, 2006. She was born October 23, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Rogers.

Nancy attended Page High School in Arizona and graduated from South High School, SLC. Nancy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Lee Cox in the LDS Manti Temple January 12, 1963. Nancy attended BYU and later pursued journalism at the University of Utah. She had several articles published in national magazines before suffering from a brain tumor in 1985.

Nancy loved classical music, played the violin as a youth and piano as an adult. She loved to read history and was nearly unbeatable at "Trivial Pursuit". Nancy recently enjoyed volunteering for many organizations including teaching English as a Second Language.

Special thanks to Home Care givers for making Nancy's last years enjoyable.

Nancy is survived by her brothers, Gary and Lane Rogers; her sister, Mary Gale Rogers; sons, Geoffrey, David, Douglas, and Nathan; and their father, Lee; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, where friends and family may call Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 and from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.

(Nancy was born Ruth Louise Rogers but legally changed her name to Nancy Ruth).
