Alta Ruth Thrower, 54, of White Hall, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Thrower was born Tuesday, April 1, 1952 in Dermott, Arkansas to the late Alvie "Son" Morman and the late Lena Hilburn Morman.

She was reared and received her early education in Rohwer, Arkansas, graduating from Watson Chapel High School.

Alta Ruth married David Thrower in Pine Bluff, on July 26, 1976.

Mrs. Thrower worked as a Beauty Operator and was the owner of Ruth's Hair Fashions.

She was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include husband, David Thrower of White Hall; daughter, Margaret Kelley of White Hall; son, Nicholas Thrower of Harrison; grandson, Zachary Smith Kelley of White Hall; 2 granddaughters, Katelin Kelley of White Hall, Jazamine Thrower of Harrison; 2 sisters, Geneva Herrin of Pine Bluff, Jane Taylor of Pine Bluff; 2 brothers, Lamar Morman of Clewiston, Florida, J. D. Morman of Kelso, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie "Son" Morman, and Lena Hilburn Morman; one brother, Charles Morman; one sister, Judy Sass.

Friends will be received 3:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, May 14 at Ralph Robinson & Son.

Services will be held at Ralph Robinson & Son, Monday, May 15, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Reverend M. L. Faler officiating.

Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery near Winchester by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
