A lifelong resident of Burke County, Mrs. Downs was a floral designer and a certified nursing assistant. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Downs was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Alan Downs and her father, William Watson Griner. Survivors include her mother, Erma M. Griner, Waynesboro; daughter, Christie Jenkins of Waynesboro; son Travis Alan Watson Downs of Waynesboro; sister, Linda Edenfield of Waynesboro; and brother, Jerry Griner of Estill, SC.
