Death of Dr. Wm. Henry Calhoun. – A private letter to his relatives here announces the death of Dr. Wm. Henry Calhoun at his residence in Mississippi, on the 24th ult. His death was very sudden. He had gone with his brother-in-law, Dr. Orr, to visit a patient, whom finding very ill, they remained all night. The deceased retired to bed at about 12 o’clock much indisposed, and soon dropped to sleep. About two hours after, he was discovered dead – it is supposed from disease of the heart.
The deceased was a nephew of the great Carolina statesman, a brother of Jno. A. Calhoun, Esq., of our District, and the brother-in-law of Judge Orr. He removed from our District in 1845 and leaves here many relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
