George and Malissa had 10 children (Malissa, a tall slender woman wore braids, long dresses and at least 5 petticoats, could read fortunes from the dregs left in coffee cups, swept her yard bare of grass to keep snakes and 'haints' (ghosts) away, her flower beds were lined with snuff bottles. She made "tea cakes" as big as saucers and always had a large bowl of fruit in her dining room.
George Morgan Waller served as Houston County Sheriff 1891-1899; he carried his pistol under his coat and carried a whip. [Two of his grandsons also served as Mayors of the town in which they lived – V.E. (Bubby) Murray, son of Ruth Waller Murray was Mayor of Grapeland, Texas from 1962 to 1964 and Morris I. Waller, son of Dennis B. Waller, was Mayor of Huntsville, Texas from 1972 to 1981.]

He moved his family to Trinity, Texas in 1910. George once heard that a man suspected of cattle theft, was making threats on his life; working in his store one day he saw the man passing on the sidewalk. George stepped outside blocking the man's passage, he cracked a long whip he was holding and asked the startled man if he indeed had intentions of shooting him. When the man assured George he did not, he let the man pass, admonishing him never to pass in front of his store again.

On March 17, 1917 George was issued the 1st license No 4 for his Hupmobile, 4th in Trinity; he married Malissa C. Ratcliff on December 6, 1883; In 1910 moved his family to Trinity, Texas where he owned & operated Waller Wholesale Company; he was one of the first Aldermen which incorporated Trinity on January 3, 1911. He served as the 1st Mayor in Trinity, Texas starting November 1910 through 1916. He established Trinity Lion's Club 1928 and helped to open the Trinity River to riverboat traffic. George Morgan brought in electricity to Trinity and initiated construction of the city's water works.
