John J. Wolf, 75, formerly of Boulder Hills, IL, died August 6, 2000 in Redlands, CA.
John was born January 29, 1925 in Wheatland Township, IL to Elmer and Ester (Smith) Wolf. He graduated from East Aurora High School and Aurora College. He was a World War II Army Veteran who fought in the Pacific Theatre and he retired from Electro Motive Division of General Motors. John was a member of the VFW Post #7452 of Montgomery, IL, American Welding Society JAK section, The Moose Club, Italian-American Club and Phoenix Club.
He is survived by a sister, Luetta Birkett of Plainfield; a son Bruce Wolf of N. Chelmsford, MA; three daughters, Jacquelyn Wolf of Rancho Mirage, CA, Gerianne Wayne of Lisle, IL and Marsha Freeman of Tempe, AZ; four grandchildren, Danielle Smith of Los Angeles, CA, Peter Bratis of W. Lafayette, IN, Christopher and Elyse, both of N. Chelmsford, MA.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Elaine (Ewing) Wolf; son, Larry John; and brothers, Clarence "Scoop" Wolf and Clifford Wolf.
Graveside services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park, Rt 30 Oswego, Saturday, August 19, 2000 at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
