Raney and his wife, Elizabeth; five sisters, Melanie Rannells and her husband, Robert; Jan Lorber and her husband, Tony; Kristi Woodward and her husband, John; Dore Nesmith and Jodie Mauck; one brother, Kurt M. Raney; one step-grandchild, Bailey McInturff.
He was a graduate of Martinsburg High School and attended Shepherd College. He was most recently employed by Fasloc, Inc. in Martinsburg. Eric was a member of Shade Tree Car Club in Beckley, WV, where he resided before returning to Martinsburg in 2005. He was also a member of the Norwalk Antique Car Club and the DuPont Retirees Association. Eric was an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Martinsburg.
