Richard W. "Warren" Jones, 71, of Tremont passed away Friday, March 19, 2010, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born December 3, 1938 in Canton, the son of Lester S. and Maude Ethel Moore Jones. He married Clara M. Hamilton on June 18, 1961 in Peoria, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Henry (Patty) Jones and Rex Jones and his wife Laurie Maurisak; one daughter, Pam Jones; three brothers, Beryl Jones, Homer (Ida Fern) Jones and Robert Jones; and four sisters, Mary Lillie, Ruth (Darrell) Lillie, Mildred (Willard) Weber and Helen Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Warren worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years. He then worked for his son as a courier. He delivered the Pekin Times, Peoria Journal Star, and Bloomington Pantagraph newspapers for many years.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
