ROBERT BEAN
ROBERT BEAN, age 62, a resident of Gainesville more than 30 years, tax collector and assessor, died at his home on East Garnett Wednesday afternoon.
He had been in ill heath for some time and death was hastened by a stroke of paralysis suffered Tuesday. He was found in a paralyzed condition by Mrs. Bean when she returned from church Tuesday evening and a physician was summoned.
He is survived by his wife, one brother SAM BEAN of Gainesville and a sister in Oklahoma. Funeral services were held Thursday morning from the residence on East Garnett St., with Rev. J. F. MURRELL of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Interment in Fairview cemetery with the Masonic lodge in charge of graveside services. S. W. Gibson directed. Active pallbearers: B. P. GARVEY, SANDY PARSONS, JOHN KEMPLIN, WALTER MCKINNEY, BRIEN BONNER and R. A. HAYS.
