Olinda Elizabeth Emma Bremer was born on July 25, 1914 near Frederika, Iowa to Frank A. and Alvina Bahlmann Bremer. Baptized Olinda Elizabeth Emma Bremer in infancy she received her Christian instruction in Leroy Township, Bremer County, IA. She was confirmed at age 14 and attended school in Frederika, Iowa. She had 4 sisters, one sister who died in infancy, Helena (Bergmann), Adala (Woods), Hilda (Holm); 5 brothers Herman and Henry who died in infancy, Paul, Arnold, and Lester.

Olinda was united in marriage to Louis Rudolph Hagedorn on September 11, 1932 in Harmony, Filmore County, Minnesota. Following their marriage the couple farmed east of Frederika for a short time before purchasing a farm west of Frederika which they farmed for 52 years and lived for 53 years. The couple moved to New Hampton November 1, 1993. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Circle in Frederika. She enjoyed gardening.

Olinda and Louie had 4 sons Stanley (Joyce), Darol (Sharon), David (Lois), and Dennis (Kae). 12 Grandchildren Linda (Wassom-Finley), Randy, Tim (Godfrey), Christopher, Michael, Mark, Lori (Kussatz-Frett), Jay, Darrin, Jim, Jackie, and Robyn (Garbes); 6 Great Grandchildren Jeremy and Andrew Wassom, Levi, Clinton, Justin, and Josh Hagedorn.
